Background of AIICAA

The concept of AIICAA is a result of a real life story of an artiste. This artiste started his musical journey at a very early age, learning music and doing 'Riyaz'. Although he had talent for music, he always considered music as his hobby.

 

This young artiste really never thought of becoming a professional musician until he came in contact with a musical genius who became his Guru ultimately. This master of music, a sagelike father figure changed that young boy's entire outlook towards music. Although that young boy was doing his engineering degree then, its due to this true Guru that the young boy found his true passion and mission of life to be in the music field. He decided to be a full time musician and started talking to established musicians and other people who are in the field of music.

 

No one encouraged the young boy to take up music as a full time profession as for them it is too risky and too economically unstable field, also he only had a luke warm support from his family. So he had to take up a job in the engineering line. However, he did not give up the idea and kept on developing his art and kept his eyes open for any opportunity that he would get to jump into the music profession.

 

During his career as an engineer and management consultant, he read a lot about pioneering enterprenuers and he realized that music is like any other business or profession and all rules of any business apply even for the field of music if one has to take up music as vocation. He also realized that like any other profession or business, various new and attractive products should be created and offered to the consumer by which more business opportunities could be thereby giving more sustainable and economically viable artistic career.

 

The person in this story is the promoter of AIICAA - Rajendra Vaishampayan and the person who changd his life is the musical genius and a sagelike figure in Indian Classical Music, Pt. Manohar Chimote, the creator of "Samvadini".
