Harekrishna Rath - Indian Classical Instrumentalist-Tabla His training in the art of Tabla playing began at the early age of 5 from his father and Guru Shri. Prafull K. Rath and then continued with Shri. Kiran Chakorkar and Shri. Kishore Pande. At present he is being trained by Guru Shri. Yogesh Samsi who is one of senior most disciples of Ustad Allah Rakha Khan Saheb of Punjab Gharana.
He is one of the upcoming and promising Tabla players of the younger generation. His consistently brilliant Tabla Solos are highly appreciated by Pt. Bhai (Suresh) Gaitonde, Tal Yogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, Pt. Madhukar Buwa Joshi and many others. He is being playing as an accompanying artist in Vocal, Kathak dance and instrumental music for last two years in Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya mandal. He has played Tabla Solo in AIR which was organize dby ITC SRA (Kolkata).
Among the awards and scholarship that he has received and those which has to be mentioned are The Scholarship in Tabla by Gunidas Trust, Scholarship in young artists from all over India Ministry of Culture, Dadar - Matunga Cultural Centre Tabla Competition award, Pt. V.D. Paluskar award of Sharda Sangeet Vidhyalaya, Yashwant Rao Sanskritik Puraskar award etc.
Among the performances he has performed are Platinium Jubilee of Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (Mumbai), Sankalp Sangeet Samaroha, Pt.
