About me

Born in the family of music admirers, Prasad got his inspiration and liking for the instrument from his father Shri Vilas Padhye. Prasad received his initial training in Tabla from Shri.Aamod Dandge, Kolhapur. Presently he is receiving his advanced training in Mumbai, under the able guidance of renowned Scholar and Performer, Pt.Arvind Mulgaonkar.

He is a recipient of the prestigious National Scholarship awarded by the Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India and has been awarded The Valhe Mama Award, and Pt.V.D.Paluskar Award ,by Sharada Sangeet Vidyalaya, Bandra, Mumbai.

Has accompanied in live classical concerts to Pt. Ulhas Bapat (Santoor),Vocalist Dr. Ram Deshpande, Smt.Asha Khadilkar, Smt. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande , Ratish Tagde (Violin), Ravindra Chari (Sitar) , to name a few. Played in popular music shows on television like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa grand finales -Zee Marathi, M2G2-Sahyadri channel. Played tabla in Dubai for Classical and fusion Ensembles with noted Flautist-Rakesh Chaurasia, Pt.Ulhas Bapat and Ravindra Chari. Played for a couple of albums, music directed by Veteran music composer Shrinivas Khale.
