About me

Nishhad Bakre, born 1981, inherited the rich musical tradition from his grandfather Guruvarya Shri. Madhukar Panchikar. He started taking his early music lessons at an age of six from his father Shri Sadashiv Bakre. Later on he took a systematic and extensive training from Dr. Ram Deshpande, for more than 12 years now, and has learnt the Gaiki, which is the combination of Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra Gharanas. After completing his graduation in BMS, he took up music as full time profession and took training in an authentic atmosphere of learning classical music through traditional effective system of Gurukul.

He has been also taking advanced training from Pt. Dinkar Kaikini, a veteran musician and renderer of Agra Gharana.

 

 

Awards and Achievements

 

 

He has completed the Sangeet Alankar in Vocal Classical from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya with First Class.

He is an approved artist of the All India Radio.

Shri. Nishhad has been rewarded by the prestigious Kesarbai Kerkar Scholarship from National Centre for Performing Arts and The National Scholarship For Young Artistes given by The Cultural Dept. of Central Govt. of India. Further he has bagged the Yuva Puraskar given in the memory of Late Shri. Chandrakant Kulkarni (Pune).

He has been also awarded the Acharya Annasaheb Ratanjankar Puraskar and the Nyana Pravah Scholarship (Kolkata).
