About me

Radhika was introduced to Hindustani music at the age of seven at Acharya Jiyalal Vasant Sangeet Niketan, Mumbai where she was initially taught by Mrs. Padma Wadkar. Radhika's talent and devotion towards music didn't remain unnoticed, and before long she had the privilege of learning from Shri. Suresh Wadkar. With his support and encouragement, Radhika had the opportunity to sing as a child artist on the All India Radio and as a child- playback singer for movies such as Kuch Kuch Hota hai, Dil to Pagal Hai, Chachi. She completed her Sangeet Visharad from Prayag Sangeet Samiti at the age of fifteen.

Eager to advance her training in Hindustani classical music, Radhika has been pursuing advanced training in the Jaipur- Atrauli Gharana from Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar. Through a scholarship awarded by SPICMACAY (Society for the promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst youth) Radhika has also had the opportunity to study semi-classical forms of music from Padmabhushan Smt. Girija Devi at the Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.
