Shruti
Vishwakarma - Indian Classical Vocalist Shruti Vishwakarma is a young, promising and rising vocalist of Indian Classical Music gifted with sweet voice. Born in 1992 at Solapur in a musically rich family. She was introduced to Indian Classical Music at a tender age of four by her grandfather Shri Narayanshastri Godbole a “National Level Kirtankar”. Her mother Smt. Jayanti Vishwakarma, a noted singer of Kirana Gharana and who herself is "Sangeet Alankar" and rank holder in “Sangeet Vidwat” of Bangalore board. Shruti has also learnt from her father Shri Ganapatrao Vishwakarma who himself is "Sangeet Visharad" and following Kirana Gharana. Shruti now started her training under the expert guidance of Dr. Smt. Veena Sahasrabudhe, a noted classical vocalist of Gwalior Gharana.
Shruti's music is a beautiful soul searching combination of Kirana Gharana and Gwalior Gharana, where she mesmerizes audiences with enchanting melody & strength of both. Along with Indian Classical music she also loves to sing various forms of music like “Bhajans”, “Thumri”, “Bhavgeet” and “Natyageeta”. She also sings Kannada Bhaktigeetas (Dasapadawali).
Shruti made her debut at the age of eight at Collector Office of Solapur on the occasion of “Sainik Day” for “Kargil Shahid Jawans”; in appreciation of her recite, was invited for “lighting the lamp”. She also Participated in the Programme “He Jaga Sundar Mi Karun Jayeen” arranged in the honor of Acharya Atre & P. L. Deshpande.
